Should I Replace 20 Year Old Gutters?

We often hear twenty years as the lifespan of guttering, but it's one of those 'facts' that have been around for ever, but no-one seems to know the origin.

It's certainly true that after twenty years, some guttering installations need replacing, but it's also the case that some last thirty or forty years - maybe more!

There's certainly a pattern with well maintained guttering lasting longer - and it looks better too with regular cleaning.
