Does Home Insurance Cover Guttering?

Unfortunately there's no one-size-fits-all advice about whether home insurance covers guttering.

Normally if it gets damaged as the result of an accident and you have accidental damage cover - you're good.

Similarly, if something else happens that you're covered for and the guttering is collateral damage, you're also likely to be insured.

However, in the case of the failure of guttering or it simply reaching the end of its life and needing replacing (ie wear and tear), then you're more likely to have to fund the work yourself.

In any case, we'd highly advise giving your insurers a call to see where you stand.
